I wanted to do some gardening today but the weather is just not letting me get out there. ok, that's the excuse I am using for now!! Well, it is windy and it is cold, but if I really wanted to garden I suppose I could. The weather has been so miserable that it doesn't take much to keep me indoors.
The only that that has been growing well lately are the election signs on all the lawns. They are popping up all over. I guess I should not complain since i have three NDP signs in the front yard. Well, one on the lawn and one each on both the fences around the front area of the house. Huge, orange signs that let the world know that we are supporters of the NDP in this house.
Well, I mean who else are we going to vote for anyway? There is Steven Harper who we are all not happy with; or Micheal Ignatiff (?) whom we don't know; or Jack Layton who is a good man with clear and truthful feelings for us all.
The one thing I want to stress over everything else is that it really doesn't matter who you vote for as long as you GET OUT AND VOTE. But if you vote NDP, I won't be upset!! lol
I seem to have gotten off the topic of gardening haven't I? Well, just as well i guess. Not much to talk about. Thursday and Friday look as though there will be no rainfall and my granddaughter is coming over for the weekend so maybe I can convince her to help me get some work done. As long as I get the bed cleared out and the lawn raked so that the lawn food can get spread, that will be good enough for me. That should be worth a trip to Tim's for an ice-cap!! Maybe next week I will have more to say about the subject.
At that time I will be starting to make plans for a trip out west that I am taking with someone special around the 20th of August. Going to be gone for three or four weeks so I will be enjoying myself and not worrying about the lawn, or writing, or anyone else s problems. Probably the last holiday I will be taking in my lifetime so I will be making the most of it.
This site is mainly an impersonal site on dogs and other interests and will also contain some occasional material on many other topics as they occur in my life. Topics may range from writing, to knitting, to birds, or even the weather. Whatever may enter my mind or I am asked to write about.

PUPPIES

Well folks, they are still here! Both of them!! Yup, that's right. Ok, I know that it may not be right but will someone please take these puppies off our hands?!! PLEASE!!
I know we asked for it and I know we needed our heads examined, but the idea was a good one. RIGHT???? Apparently not!! We can't even give them away for the love of Pete!
In all fairness, they are cute little things. One is bigger like the dad and the other is a little tiny one. Not sure who she takes after but she is cute. The vet calls her a teacup. We started to call her Babygirl and it is sticking. The bigger one is called Ginger. We had to call them something since "the puppies" was not working any more.
Both girls were born on August 4th of 2010 and we had visions of great deals of money coming our way. Yeah, right!! They have cost us a few hundred in vet bills and, well, if anyone does buy them we just want to get some of that money back. Might not happen though but we can hope.
One smart thing we did though was to have the dad fixed. Can you imagine what a mess it would have been if all three females, mom and daughters, came into heat and he got them all pregnant. I would go nuts!!
So far we are trying to get the pottie training under control. the bigger one is the main problem but she is slowly getting the hang of it. I think!! Time will tell, as they say.
Wish us luck.
